Seite 4 Lift or sting conveyor based on module conveyor MBF-P 80/120 The task: In a library, media (books, magazines, CDs, games, ... ) are lowered from the first floor into the basement. At peek times, up to 1,500 media must be gently conveyed. Feature: very quiet <=55dB! The solution: A modular belt conveyor is used as a lift. Carbon fingers are attached to this conveyor. This is driven via a three-phase drive with frequency converter. The media are transferred to the top of the lift via a customer-side multi-strand conveyor. At the sorting level, the media are deposited on a multi-strand conveyor. This transfers the media to the down- stream sorter before the next cycle is started. Seite 5 Assembly line with camera inspection based on module conveyor MBF-P 55/120 The task: Two injection molded parts must be assembled and subjected to a 100% inspection. Manual assembly of the components is only possible with a great deal of effort. The solution: The individual components are placed manually in part holder. By actuating a foot switch, the assembly line advances by one position and the assembly process is carried out by the handling system. The integrated camera uses two features to check that the parts are correctly seated and free of burrs. In addition, the i.O. parts are counted and transferred to a small load carrier. Seite 6 Type: MBF-P 55/120 1Sp Drive: Three-phase asynchronous motor Positioning: Initiators Change time: ca. 1.5 s Cycle time: ca. 9 s Control system: S7-1200 | integrated into robot control Interlinking of two injection molding machines with two FlexiTek conveyors, five camera systems, assembly and laser station The task: Two injection molding machines are to be linked together and joined in the process. Before the components can be joined, they must be cooled to below 60°. Before and after each production step, the com- ponents are inspected via camera and sensors. After the subsequent laser marking, the components are packed in SLCs. The solution: Two accumulating FlexiTek conveyors are loaded with i.O. parts via robots for dynamic buffering of the components. Further robots assemble and transfer the components to indexing conveyor for laser marking. In addition, the i.O. parts are counted and transferred to the small load carriers. 6

Seite 7 Finished part storage for i.O. parts as circulating storage The task: Production autonomy is to be increased on an interlinking line. For this purpose, the i.O. parts are to be packed in a specified number of pieces in small load carriers (SLCs) with films. The solution: A modular belt conveyor is installed crosswise and hooks are mounted on the M8 thread inserts to hold the SLCs. The individual SLCs are manually lined with foil and fixed with a frame. The SLCs prepared in this way are exchanged for the loaded SLCs. Components are counted via the interface and sensor system and the modular belt is cycled through three positions for uniform distribution. A table top is mounted underneath the SLCs to ensure ergonomic loading and unloading.
