PVC floor tiles:

Rhizotron / root chamber:
In plant research, automated and imaging methods are used to study root growth.
Rhizotrons are filled with soil and placed at a certain angle. The roots are visible on the windshield and can be recorded using high-resolution camera systems and analyzed using complex algorithms. The phenotyping of plants provides important information to secure crop yields for the future.
Petri dishes / root chamber:
In plant research, automated and imaging methods are used to study root growth.
The Petri dishes are filled with agar. The transparent agar provides a view of the roots, which can be recorded with high-resolution camera systems and analyzed using complex algorithms.
